Missed Oct. 26 court date? Grace period ends Nov. 26

DEL RIO, Texas — People who missed their Oct. 26, 2026, Del Rio Municipal Court date have been placed on the court’s pre-warrant docket and have a 30-day grace period to resolve their cases, according to a City of Del Rio public announcement.
Those on the list must contact the court before Nov. 26, 2026, when warrants will be issued, according to the city’s announcement on its Facebook page on Nov. 2. Penalties can include a warrant fee of up to $75.
Payment plans, fine reductions and credit for time served may be available to those who qualify, the city said.
The city has published a Pre-Warrant List so residents can check whether their names appear.
The court also has a Safe Harbor initiative for Class C misdemeanor cases. Under that policy, a person with a Del Rio Municipal Court warrant for a Class C misdemeanor can come to the court to discuss the case without fear of arrest on that warrant, according to the court’s warrants page. Walk-ins may speak with the judge Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m.
Defendants who cannot attend the regular dockets can request an evening or virtual hearing, according to the Municipal Court page.
The Del Rio Municipal Court is at 125 E. Martin St., Del Rio, TX 78840. It can be reached at (830) 774-8506 or municipalcourt@cityofdelrio.com. Cases can also be looked up and paid through the city’s online portal.
